Pawnee boys' fall to Peetz

A furious comeback fell just short last week for the Pawnee High boys’ basketball team in the Colorado 1A District 4 tournament.

The Coyotes trailed by 11 points in the final quarter against Peetz in the opening round of the tournament at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling and rallied back to take a one-point lead with 27 seconds left. However, Peetz hit a shot in the final seconds to give it a 52-50 win and end Pawnee’s season in heart-breaking fashion.
