153rd Airlift Wing returns airmen from overseas deployment

One of the U.S. Air Force C-130H aircraft assigned to the 153rd Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard returns to Cheyenne after a successful deployment to Southwest Asia, March 5, 2015. Four Wyoming and two West Virginia aircraft provided combat airlift in support Operation Freedom's Sentinel and moved 3,140 personnel and 2,370 tons of cargo to various destinations in the region.

Nearly 100 members of the 153rd Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard, are now home with their families following a recent deployment to Southwest Asia.

The final plane returned home last week. Airmen successfully provided combat airlift support, logistics, maintenance and medical support as part of Operations Enduring Freedom and Freedom's Sentinel.

The deployment included the use of four 153rd Airlift Wing C-130H Hercules aircraft and two aircraft from the West Virginia Air National Guard.
