Broncs drop state opener

Try for comeback through consolation bracket

Burns Broncs No. 3 Matt Martin stretches high over his opponents to put the ball in the basket during the state semi-final games in Casper. Despite the fact that Martin did managed to score. the Broncs were unable to overcome their opponents.

The Burns Broncs stepped into the 1A-2A State tournament as the number four seed in Casper this weekend. The Broncs schedule was a tough one as they opened the tournament against number one seed Greybull on Thursday.

The state tournament is such that you keep going if you win. If you lose, you get another chance to fight your way back to possibly place third.

The game started with a tight first quarter. Burns was able to contain the home team to only four points, while putting up two of their own.
