Hurdles were not where the Pine Bluffs girls excelled on Saturday in Kimball, although they did compete, but seventh place by Kayla Thurin in the 100m Hurdles Preliminaries was the best they could do. Morgan Cline, who also competed in the preliminaries (above) finished in eleventh place, while Shayna Held came in ninth. Morgan also finished in eleventh place in the 200m Dash Preliminaries.

Both Burns and Pine Bluffs combined teams came in third at their respective track meets this weekend; Pine Bluffs traveled to the Kimball Invitational.

While the Pine Bluffs girls outdid themselves in the track events, the Pine Bluffs boys placed in the top five in five of the six field events.

Coach Dustin Lee said of the Hornets, "It was a great day for a track meet today! Both boys and girls had exceptional first meets. Both teams outscored themselves from last year's performances. They were both third as a team!"
