Hornets tie for second at Bayard

The sun wasn't out, but at least it wasn't snowing, hard, and it turned out to be an all-around great day for the Pine Bluffs boys and girls track and field teams at the Bayard Invitational last Thursday.

The Pine Bluffs girls came in fourth out of a field of 17 teams with a total of 50 points, while the Pine Bluffs boys tied for second place with Hemingford in a field of 16 teams.

Nearly half of the boys' points were earned by Jorge Garcia, who placed first in the 1600m Run, with a time of 5:00.90, and first in the 3200m Run, with 10:44.19.
