Pine Bluffs has great day despite absenteeism

Jorge Garcia, a force to be reckoned with in distance running, brought home two first place finishes in the 800m Run and the 3200m Run in Chappell last week. He is pictured above, participating in the same events at the Bayard Invitational meet recently.

Despite the fact that the Pine Bluffs track and field teams were short some athletes due to the FFA state convention last week, Coach Dustin Lee said, "It was a great day to compete in Chappell. The athletes who were able to compete did it well. The girls took third place overall, and the boys took fourth. I was pleased with the performance of both teams."

The girls' team scored a total of 73 points, while the boys had 56, giving them a combined team total of 129, and placing them in fourth place overall.
