During the last week of April, Burns Elementary students and staff participated in a fundraiser for CureSearch called Sock it to Cancer. They raised $3367.50.
The idea for this event started when Teagan, one of the Kindergarten students in Paige Epler's class, was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year. Pam Shults, school nurse asked her mom what the school could do to help Teagan. She said we could raise money for CureSearch.
