School board discusses random drug testing

The Laramie County School District 2 discussed, at length, the real possibility of enacting and enforcing a random drug testing policy for all junior high and high school students who participate in any school sponsored extracurricular activity including sports, band, choir, drama, student council, journalism, FFA, FBLA and FCCLA.

And, while the board voted to approve the first reading of the policy, one board member voted against it, Jack Bomhoff, stating “The policy can demoralize the community.”
