Duggan runs to state championship

Luke Duggan (left) and Bryce Schnug pose for a photo, happy with their results at the Colorado State 1A track meet last week. Duggan is the new state champion in the 3200m Run, and placed fourth in the 800m and 1600m Runs, while Schnug placed ninth in the 110m Hurdles.

Luke Duggan and Bryce Schnug brought home the honors from the Colorado State track meet in the Class 1A division May 14 and 15..

Duggan placed fourth in the 800m and 1600m Runs, and ran to a first place finish in the 3200m Run to be named State Champion.

Schnug, who participated in the 110m Hurdles, came in ninth.

The Pawnee track athletes competed against 10 other teams at the state meet.

Coach Kathy Adams said,"Pawnee placed 13th as a team, but it has been a great season, with personal bests from all the kids. We're already looking forward to next year!"
