May a Wet Month

During the month of May nearly five inches of rain fell in this vicinity, to be exact it amounted to 4.85 inches.

The ground is well soaked and this with the warm sunshine is giving crops a great boost all over the district. The farmers all have a very optimistic outlook for big crops this fall and very often we hear the expression “This reminds me of the spring of 1912”.

On Saturday afternoon we had a very heavy rain and then it continued raining gently all that night and most of Sunday and Sunday night. 1.28 inches fell during this rain.
