Veterans Memorial Park receives thumbs up from SLIB

The artists' rendering above shows the Veterans Memorial/Community Plaza project planned for Main Street in downtown Pine Bluffs, which is set to break ground sometime in September. A final vote of approval by the State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) last month, as well as a $124,000 grant are making this possible.

The Veterans Memorial/Community Plaza project, which has been in the works for more than a year, and spearheaded by Larry Silvey, received the final approval it needed from the State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) for a $124,000 grant that will be used, along with matching funds from the Town of Pine Bluffs in the amount of $30,000.

The site of the project, which is located on Main Street, on the south side of Active Care Chiropractic, first needed the approval of the Economic Development Council, which met in Rawlins and gave a thumbs up to the project.
