This week at the Hereford Community Church the congregation burned their burdens then shared Holy Communion. There were special guests, Dr. Steve and Alene Burgert, who are missionaries in Kenya.

Dr. Steve specializes in cancer of the esophagus. There is a high incidence of that kind of cancer in Kenya. He works with Tenwek Hospital. Alene works with the prison ministry. She helps train chaplains and also visits prisoners and their families. The Burgerts showed a video telling about their mission and answered questions. They are presently home on leave and will return to Kenya in August.
