Burns considers glass recycling

Mayor Ralph Bartels opened the Burns town council meeting then inquired about any public comments.

Sonia Rey, representing a recycling firm in Cheyenne, presented the town of Burns with an opportunity to recycle glass. “There would be no cost to the Town of Burns,” she continued, “You would need to provided the collection bins, but we would come and collect for free once a month. Thereafter it would cost forty dollars per pickup.” Sonia pointed out some of the uses of recycled glass including mulch, and would make the town cleaner and greener. The council tabled the matter.
