Secretary of State's Office certifies cannabis ballot initiative application

 


The Secretary of State’s office has certified the application for a ballot initiative, The Peggy A. Kelley Wyoming Cannabis Act of 2016, to legalize medical marijuana in the state.

The first step of a ballot initiative of any nature requires certification from the office of Secretary of State for compliance with the application process. "The Secretary of State must remain neutral on the merits of the issue presented by the applicant," stated Secretary of State Ed Murray.
