LIEAP webinars provide assistance to vendors and applicants alike

Low Income Energy Assistance Program

In preparation for the upcoming season, the Wyoming Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) is offering two webinars at no cost.  The webinars are designed to provide assistance to fuel vendors, LIEAP applicants and those who might be assisting applicants.

Take It From the Top - a general overview of LIEAP – will be offered on Tuesdays at noon beginning on July 28 and will run at that same day and time through September 22.

Digging Deeper - detailed instructions on completing the LIEAP application – will be offered on Wednesdays at noon beginning August 12 and run at that same day and time through September 23.

Interested parties may register or view a recorded version of the webinar on the Department of Family Service’s LIEAP webpage at http://dfsweb.wyo.gov/economic-assistance/lieap.

Whether you provide LIEAP-related services, use LIEAP funds for your own home, or work with folks that use LIEAP funds, you'll find one or both of these 30 minute webinars helpful.

The purpose of the LIEAP program is to help low-income families and people on fixed incomes pay their heating bills during the winter months. LIEAP approval may also result in approval to have eligible homes weatherized which can significantly lower the energy costs and improve the comfort, health and safety of those homes.  Applications are accepted from October 1 through the end of February.
