Zimmerman suspected of committing suicide

On July 20, 2014 the Laramie County Sheriff’s Department responded to 116 S. Wyoming Avenue in Burns, WY on the report of a male shooting a female. As a result of that investigation, the Sheriff’s Dept. arrested Rom Zimmerman for Homicide.

A trial ensued, and Ron Zimmerman was found guilty at a jury trial of second degree Murder. On sept. 18, 2015, Ron Zimmerman was sentenced in District Court to 45 years to life in the State Penitentiary.

On Oct. 13, 2015, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Zimmerman was found deceased in his jail cell as a result of a suspected hanging. Zimmerman needed a C-...
