Coyotes overcome Pirates 68-52

The Pawnee Coyote football team hosted Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates Friday, Oct. 9, for a non-conference game, winning 68-52.

By quarters Pawnee scored 24-8, 22-16, 8-13, 14-15.

Coach Doug Miller said “The first quarter went really well. We went up big but then Genoa-Hugo did a good job of making the game interesting. They threw up several Hail Mary passes in the end zone, and came up with them. Luke Duggan had a really good night with 195 yards rushing, a reception for a T.D., and a pick six.
