Lady Hornets get taste of playoff atmosphere

Intense play and packed stands gave the match against Leyton a playoff feel for the Pine Bluffs Lady Hornets last week. The visiting Lady Hornets kept their play solid as they went on to defeat the home team, 25-16, 19-25, 25-23, 24-26, 15-11.

Of the competition, coach Chris Nusbaum said, “The Warriors were a great hitting team and their crowd was really into the match, giving it the atmosphere of a post season tournament match.”

“The ladies really stepped up,” said Nusbaum of the Lady Hornets, “They played great defense and were able to spread the ball around offensively.”
