DOI reminds WINhealth customers to end electronic premium payments

Wyoming Insurance Commissioner Tom Glause reminds WINhealth customers who had automatic or electronic payment programs that they need to contact their banking institution to end their electronic premium payments after the customer’s December premium has been paid.

According to Glause, “Individuals must contact their banking institutions to stop the automatic fund withdrawal. Unfortunately, the burden is on individuals to make this change with their banks. The Insurance Department cannot contact the financial institutions and ask them to stop the automatic premium payments to WINhealth. At the same time, the insured must be certain that their premiums are paid through December 31, 2015 in order to have coverage to the end of this year.”

For assistance and questions regarding WINhealth, please contact the Department of Insurance (DOI) by email at:, or visit the Department of Insurance website at: http://www.DOI.WYO.GOV.

WINhealth can also be contacted by phone at 307-773-1300; the Department of Insurance can be reached at 307-777-7401. Questions about open enrollment can be directed to DOI, through Enroll Wyoming by dialing 211, or through local insurance agents and brokers.
