Cheyenne Audubon sponsors lecture Jan. 19

The Cheyenne – High Plains Audubon Society is presenting a lecture Jan. 19 on the health of southeast Wyoming’s grasslands, given by Brent Lathrop of The Nature Conservancy. TNC has been evaluating local grasslands and developing a plan of action. The grasslands of North America are one of the most impacted and threatened landscapes in the world. Grassland bird species are in sharp decline.

The program, free and open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m. in the Cottonwood Room of the Laramie County Public Library, 2200 Pioneer.
