Crash near Pine Bluffs leaves one dead

A Scottsbluff, Nebraska woman died early Sunday morning after she rear-ended a commercial truck on Interstate 80 just west of Pine Bluffs, near mile marker 393.

According to Sgt. David Wagener, public relations officer with the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the victim, 32-year-old Randi Amen, was traveling at a high rate of speed when she crashed into the truck. Amen later died at a hospital.

Investigators say alcohol might have played a role.

The two people in the truck, which was pulling a trailer, were not injured.
