Burns tractor pull is still on

Just because Burns Day has been canceled doesn't mean area residents still can't get their fair share of engine-revving, mud-slinging, trailer-dragging, tractor action come summer.

According to co-organizer Kim Kranz, the event is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 21.

"Even though we're not having a Burns Day, we still want to have a tractor pull in Burns," she said to Burns Town Council on January 11. "I have a quote for the insurance and the school is going to let us use their grounds, because the school (district) still owns it, I have to go through the proper channels."
