Lady Hornets swarm over Burns

Burns junior Katie Norris, center, found herself surrounded by Lady Hornets Jadyn Golding (14), Sierra Shelit (center rear) and Montanna Chrystal (31) last Friday evening as #2-ranked Pine Bluffs rolled past the host Lady Broncs, 59-17.

Those in attendance last Friday at Burns Jr/Sr High School were witnesses to the seventh win in a row for the Pine Bluffs Lady Hornets, who felled the Burns Lady Broncs 59-17.

The Burns girls struggled early, mustering just two points in the first quarter, trailing Pine Bluffs 14-2.

The Lady Hornets posted 16 points in the second quarter to take a 32-10 at the midway point.

Pine Bluffs added 19 more points in the third quarter to just five by Burns, to take a 51-15 lead into the last period of play.
