Giving back is a gas

AmeriGas propane customers may not know it, but everytime they fire up their gas grill or use propane to heat their home, they could be contributing to local schools. It's all part of AmeriGas' "School Days" program, Participating schools receive annual funds that can be used anyway the school sees fit.

For every gallon of propane sold, AmeriGas contributes two cents into the fund. Each school can receive up to $2,000 per school year.

AmeriGas District Manager Gary Robertson visited Burns Jr/Sr High School on Tuesday to present a check for $254.47 to Principal Jerry Becking.
