Lady Broncs fight their way to state

Sometimes, the sweetest victories are the ones you have to fight, scratch and claw your way through. No one knows that feeling more right now than the Burns Lady Broncs. Just over a week ago, they were hanging on by the skin of their teeth and earned a spot in the 2A Regional Tournament by narrowly defeating Saratoga 29-27 in a play-in game on Feb. 22.

In the regionals, Burns lost to Wright in the opening round last Thursday, but edged Big Horn 57-56 in Friday's consolation round and took out Tongue River 39-32 last Saturday to earn a trip to Casper. The Lady Broncs finished up their week w...
