Community Calendar

 


Items for possible inclusion in the weekly community calendar should be typewritten or legibly printed. All submissions should include the name and daytime telephone number of the person submitting the information in case questions arise.

Items which may be included in the calendar are church events, club meetings, and school events.

If your club will not be meeting or has a change, please contact us so we can update the calendar with the correct information as soon as possible.

Items should be received on Monday at 5 p.m., one week prior to the date they will appear in the calendar.

They may be faxed to 307-245-3325, e-mailed to pinebluffseditor@rtconnect.net, mailed to Pine Bluffs Post, P.O. Box 68, Pine Bluffs, WY 82082, or dropped off at the Post’s office located at 201 E. 2nd St.

Every Weekday Morning

Every morning from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. you can get together with your friends for coffee and conversation at the Pine Bluffs Senior Center.

Every Tuesday

Every Tuesday at 1 p.m. Bingo is held at the Pine Bluffs Senior Center.

Every Wednesday

Pick up pickleball will be held Wednesdays at the Community Center from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Pickleball is a game played indoors on a small court with a paddle and whiffle ball. Free of charge, everyone is welcome.

Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday

Senior Shape Up at the Pine Bluffs Fitness Center from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. This is a free exercise program designed to promote flexibility, muscle strength, coordination and general overall fitness.

Wednesdays:

Lighthouse Assembly of God is hosting a free Creation Seminar from 6:30-8 p.m. “From a Scientic Perspective” presented by Dr. Kent Hovind, one of the foremost authorities on science and the Bible.

All materials are being provided at no cost.

Thursdays:

The Pine Bluffs Senior Center will start Nintendo Wii Bowling Leagues starting February 11! These are 17-week leagues: Jan-April; May-Aug; Sept-Dec. Times are 9-11 a.m. Please come in before the February 11 to create your Wii profile.

March 25

Good Friday Service of Tenebrae, March 25, at 7 p.m. at the Church.

Community Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. in the Park and 10 a.m. Easter Worship Service at Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church.

April 2

The Pine Bluffs Lions Club will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt for toddlers through 6th grade on Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m.

The hunt will be held on the top of the bluffs at the Pine Bluffs’ Golf Course. In case of inclement weather, the hunt will be held in the Pine Bluffs City Park.

April 8

Do you live in Laramie County School District #2? Do you have a child who is five years old or will be five years old by September 15, 2016?

If so, Carpenter Elementary School invites you to bring your prospective kindergartener for screening on Friday, April 8, 2016.

Please call the school office at 245-4180 to set up an appointment for your child to be screened.

All children being screened will need to bring their birth certificate, social security card, and a current immunization record on this day.

We are looking forward to meeting you and your kindergartener.

June 4

8th Annual Community Wide Garage Sale – Saturday, June 4. Early bird registration begins April 11 and runs through May 9. Register your sale at the Pine Bluffs Town Hall, M-F, 8a-4p.

You can register after the May 9 deadline for an extra fee. Registrations received after May 27 will not be guaranteed to be on the official garage sale map.
