USDA Seeks Applications for Loans and Grants to Help Grow Rural Businesses and Spur Economic Development

Rural Business Cooperative-Service Administrator Sam Rikkers today announced that USDA is seeking applications for loans and grants to help support the start-up or expansion of rural businesses.

In Nebraska, a $300,000 grant awarded last year to Central City through the Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant (REDLG) program will be used to establish a revolving loan fund. The initial loan from Central City to Merrick County Entertainment Corp will construct a new energy efficient 9,800 square foot community cinema complex.
