Albin council discusses field of interest fund

During their April meeting, Albin town councilors discussed earmarking the remaining $3,400 in the Albin field of interest community fund.

The fund is intended for charitable works at community revitalization, but additional money has not been put into the fund since 2009.

Councilors discussed revamping the fund, but because of lack of interest, they determined the best course of action would be to divide the fund among communities.

“If it didn't work back then, I seriously doubt it is going to work now,” Albin Mayor Kelly Krakow said.
