Revenue down for Pine Bluffs

Without much discussion, Pine Bluffs town councilors passed a budget for the 2016 – 2017 fiscal year.

The budget must pass two further readings to become effective. Amendments to the budget can be proposed and passed during the second and third readings.

There were no amendments during Monday's first reading.

Due to statewide budget cuts, revenue looks to be down $65,000 to $70,000.

Pine Bluffs Treasurer Kim Patterson said the decline in revenue is “very much a reality,” but Pine Bluffs is fairing better than other towns in Wyoming.
