Goshen County Invite canceled due to storm threat

As the regular track and field season wraps up, Pine Bluffs senior Jorge Garcia will be in the running as the SEWAC meet takes place this Friday in Burns.

The threat of more bad weather forced the cancellation of the Goshen County Invitational in Torrington scheduled for April 30, so it's a good thing that many of Pine Bluffs' athletes have already qualified for the state competition scheduled for May 19-21 in Casper.

The unplanned bye week will give Coach Dustin Lee's team a chance to rest up before heading into two events this week. The first, is the Pine Bluffs Field Event Extravaganza on Thursday, May 5. This is a field event only, there will not be any running events.

That will be followed by the SEWAC tournament at Burns on May 7.
