Town pays tribute to veterans' sacrifice, service

One of nearly 200 small American flags flies in the breeze at Pine Bluffs Cemetery prior to a Memorial Day service last Monday morning.

The atmosphere was somber as members of the American Legion and residents of Pine Bluffs gathered Monday to pay their respects to the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice defending America.

Also on hand was United States Air Force Tech Sgt. Erin Callahan.

Callahan was originally on hand in Pine Bluffs to help put out nearly 200 U.S. Flags at the graves of Pine Bluffs veterans. She came back Monday to participate in the ceremonies.
