Veterans memorial dedication to take place Sept. 12

A statue of a U.S. Army soldier that will be placed at the Pine Bluffs Veterans' Memorial just north of the Commerce Building. The official dedication will be held Monday, Sept. 12.

The statues of servicemen and women are moving out of town hall to a new home.

Monday, September 12, veterans, local and state officials will be on hand to christen the Pine Bluffs Veterans' Memorial at Veteran's Plaza in Pine Bluffs.

The memorial, which so far, will include statues of a U.S. Marine, Army Soldier, Navy Sailor and Air Force Airman, is the work of local volunteers, generous donors, the Wyoming Business Council among others.

Each statue cost $30,000 said Pine Bluffs Treasurer Kim Patterson.
