Hornets win big for homecoming

Pine Bluffs' Isaiah Montanes rushes up the field against Wyoming Indian last Friday. The Hornets blanked the Chiefs 70-0 for a homecoming victory and to improve to 3-0 on the season.

It was pretty much over as soon as it began as the Pine Bluffs Hornets took the lead early and never gave Wyoming Indian a chance to get on the scoreboard, blanking the Chiefs 70-0.

"I thought we played well, especially the young kids," said PB head coach Will Gray. "Defensively, the kids played fast and tackled well. It was a good homecoming win."

The Hornets rocketed out to a 48-0 lead in the first quarter and with a running clock from the second quarter on, took a 55-0 lead into halftime.

Pine added 15 more points in third and stayed off the board in the fourth to cruise to a win.
