Hornets rebound against Wright, 48-22

Pine Bluffs senior running back Ruger Lewis breaks through the Wright defense last Friday for big yardage and an eventual touchdown. Lewis ran for 357 yards on 37 carries with three touchdowns. The Hornets went on to win 48-22 to improve to 4-1 on the season.

After being handed their first loss of the season last week at the hands of Upton-Sundance, the Pine Bluffs Hornets came back nicely with a decisive 48-22 victory over the visiting Wright Panthers last Friday.

Hornet running back Ruger Lewis got the scoring started with a 38-yard TD run in the first quarter. Andrew Fornstrom's extra point attempt was good to put Pine up 7-0. Wright fought back with a TD of their own in the frame, but the PAT was wide, so the Hornets had a slim 7-6 lead heading into the second quarter.
