Community 'drive-in' movie Nov. 17

In a joint effort between the Texas Trail Market and the Pine Bluffs Recreation Department, a “Drive In” movie night will be held tonight featuring a newly released movie for children to enjoy at the Pine Bluffs Community Center.

Doors to the community center will open at 5:30 p.m. with the moving following at 6:20 p.m. featuring “Finding Dory”, rated PG, a movie focused on the friendly but forgetful blue tang fish as she begins a search for her long-lost parents where the real meaning of family is found. The movie should be finished approximately at 7:45 p.m.

Children are encouraged to make a car out of a box and "drive in" to the movie. Prizes will be given away for to the top five cars. Making a car is completely optional. Children are encouraged to bring pillows and blankets to make themselves comfortable for the movie.

The event is free, however children are not allowed to leave the community center and re-enter without an adult present. Children will be given one free soda, hot dog and nachos. Anyone wanting more soda, hot and nachos will then be charged. Popcorn will be free throughout the evening.

This will be the 16th annual movie night that the recreation department and Texas Trail Market have sponsored for the area children. Last year was the first year of branching out with the “Drive In” theme to tap into the children’s creative side.
