Students help make Christmas merry

Members of the Pine Bluffs Student Council and advisor Ashley Rousseau proceed through the checkout line at Target with the stash of Christmas presents for less-fortunate students. The council spends between $70 to $100 per student on the list and all students get a stocking filled with hygiene materials, candy, and small toys as well as winter wear for the season. This year Pine Bluffs High School was able to stuff 59 stockings, buy for 35 kids, and also donate to SafeHouse in Cheyenne.

In the true spirit of Christmas, the Pine Bluffs High School Student Council and the Burns High School Student Council wanted to bring smiles to more students in the Laramie County School District No. 2, but in order to do so, knew that they would need more help than in past years.

According to PBHS student council advisor Ashley Rousseau, the student councils decided to capitalize on the competitive drive between the two high schools and decided to challenge each other as well as the students to help raise funds and donated items so no student in the district would be without on Christmas...
