Burns upsets Central sophomores, loses to Wright

Burns senior Klayton Clark, right, goes airborne for a score against Wright last Saturday at the Tiger Jamboree in Lusk. Clark tallied 16 points, as did teammate Sam Sharpe, but the Broncs fell to the Panthers, 75-62.

With frigid temperatures bearing down on most of eastern Wyoming, the Lusk Jamboree had a few schedule changes over the weekend. The Burns Broncs went into action against the sophomore team of Cheyenne Central and the Wright Panthers.

Burns faced Cheyenne Central Indians in their first game of the Jamboree and came away with a win by a 21-point margin. The first quarter was tight with both teams putting up 11 points on the scoreboard. Burns was able to pull away in the second quarter to lead the Indians by five points going into halftime 24-19.
