Once upon a time there was a tree. He grew tall and strong in the dry, high and often frozen ground of southeast Wyoming. A feat in itself. The tree shaded a little house and watch a couple of generations of children grow and play beneath him. He swayed when the Wyoming winds blew. He endured “haircuts” when he grew too close to power lines. He dried a little when the summers brought little rain. The tree proudly protected the house and family when the winter brought storm after storm.
