Grapplers place fourth overall at Southeast Duals

 


The Burns-Pine Bluffs wrestlers traveled to Yoder last week to take part in the Southeast Duals. It was a strong showing for the young team as they finished fourth overall, losing to Gering, Neb. in the third place match, 45-30.

“It was a great weekend,” said head coach Dan Clayson. “The kids wrestled well. The win over Chadron was a big one for us as a team. When we wrestled Gering and Sidney, our youth was really evident. Those teams have a lot of older, more-experienced guys wrestling for them and our team is full of freshman and guys who have only wrestled for a year or two. Overa...
