Lady Broncs prep for regional tourney

The Lady Broncs fell to the visiting Lady Doggers 48-22 to end the regular season. The girls will play Big Horn Thursday at 8:30 p.m. in the 2A Regional Tournament in Gillette.

The Burns Lady Broncs wrapped up regular-season play last Friday hosting the Lingle-Ft. Laramie Lady Doggers.

The Lady Doggers jumped out to a 18-5 lead in the first quarter as the Lady Broncs tried to put something together.

At halftime, Lingle was up 30-7. They padded their lead to 40-14 in the third.

Both teams scored eight points in the fourth but the damage was already done as Burns lost, 48-22.

Katie Norris and Willow Martin led Burns scoring with six points each, Felsey Faircloth had three, Malli O'Neal had two, while Meghan Murphy and Korbin Liley each had one.
