"The running joke for the track team is: What we do for track is every other teams punishment," said Cole Manlove, Burns Jr./Sr. High School boys track coach.
Manlove was speaking at the annual high school athletic banquet held at the Burns Elementary gym, Tuesday, May 23.
His words were echoed by Brooks Hoffman, coach of the girls track team at Burns.
"Like coach said, running isn't always the most enjoyable thing, even though every chance I get, I try to remind the girls that it is a cure for just about everything. Sometimes, they just don't believe me," Hoffman said.
