Supreme Court hears oral arguments

On Wednesday, June 14, oral arguments were heard in the Wyoming Supreme Court, Cheyenne in the case of the Town of Pine Bluffs, Wyo. v. Trudy L Eisele, Laramie County treasurer, Kenneth Guille, Laramie County assessor and Laramie County, Wyo.

The case involves the town's contention that the former Pine Bluffs Daycare and its property were owned and operated by the town and therefore exempt from taxation by the county. The town contends that the Laramie County Assessor abused its statutory authority in 2015 by declaring the daycare as taxable and assessing those taxes. The town brought suit...
