Burns town council addresses liquor ordinance; other town business

Responding to constituent complaints received during the town election this spring, Councilwoman Judy Johnstone proposed an avenue to address those complaints.

Apparently, there are residents of Burns who feel that the governing body does not do enough to inform citizens of actions taken by the council.

She proposed, and the council and mayor agreed by consent, that a paragraph or two advising residents of council actions would be added to the monthly utility bills. Johnstone volunteered to write those notices.
