Members of the Pine Bluffs Town Council discuss the Ordinance 2017-05

The third reading of Ordinance 2017-05 was the main topic of Monday's council meeting. The third reading was approved; as well as the amendment to the second reading. Amendments included the height of grass/weeds and charging administrative fees of 20% of clean-up to the property owner.

County Commissioner Thompson attended the meeting and shared regarding the court house remodel and jail expansion projects are moving right along.

Also discussed was the upcoming "Kite Festival." Scheduled to be at the festival are five semi-pro kite flyers.

One of the commissioners was approached regarding the ambulance leaving the recent varsity game.

On follow up, it was discovered that the second ambulance was already in Cheyenne. When the ambulance left the game on a call; a EMT with a bag was left at the game to assist if needed. The announcers were notified of the EMT staying behind before the ambulance left.

Discussions regarding the new credit card processing system, Tyler Technology, scheduled to be implemented in the near future. It was approved to pass on a 2.25% fee for using debit and/or credit cards to customers to pay utility bills. These fees in the past have been absorbed by the town.

A resident had requested council approval to have a home-day care. State has all ready approved and petition was acquired from the neighbors. Per zoning of the location; it was determined that no approval by council is needed.
