Town Council approves renewals of local liquor licenses

Renewals for the annual liquor license’s was on the agenda at the Pine Bluffs Town Council, Monday night. After discussions were held and no objections in the public hearing part of the Annual Liquor License Renewals, it was sent for a vote. They were approved.

Discussion was held with regards to the Liquor License for Wyoming Malting needing a correction. It was approved with a date correction on the license. The license for Knotty Pine, Pine Bowl and Trans West Development was subject to the these license being marked on and off premise both bar and package liquor. Requiring each business coming in an making the corrections.

Also approved were invoices from Lidstone & Associates for water storage tank replacement of $19,694.53 and Four Quarters Excavation Pay Req. No. 1 for water tank demolition of $39,530.12.

Department Reports were on the Senior Center Banquet and the Kite Festival. The review of the Senior Center luncheon and board meeting, a little over 30 people attended with a lot of positive discussion. Gloria Stello has been hired as combination bus driver, cook, and office person. The next meeting in Oct.will elect officers. There was questions regarding the nuisance ordinance procedure, which will be addressed in the near future.

Thanks was voiced to all of the volunteers that worked on getting the kite festival set up and to the judges. Good feed back from the professional kite flyers, the area was a great location for kite flying. The Recreation department is hoping to make next year’s festival bigger and better.

Also discussed was the money left over from the 2012 six penny tax, specifically regard the amount allotted to fix up the foundation and parking lot of the Archeological Dig Site. Engineering estimate for design and geo technical work comes in right at $30,000.00, the engineering portion was approved to proceed. Last year there was 1,064 visitors to the Archeological Dig Site, with raising about $800.00 in donations for the year. Statis on the mapping program is coming along, however there is a hold up with water distribution drawings.
