Frequent currying and brushing will insure a healthy condition of the horse. A few minutes spent daily is currying and brushing a horse is time well spent. Aside from giving the animal a clean, glossy appearance, this daily brushing stimulates circulation. The skin is an important excretory organ and must be kept clean and free to do its work.

It is especially important to give the legs daily care. If it is necessary to wash them in cold weather, they should be thoroughly dried before being exposed to the open air....
