Pine bluffs youth chapter of Pheasants Forever participates in an annual gathering with other youth chapters all around America at Pheasant Fest. Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic is a trade show that focuses on wildlife conservation, upland game bird hunting , dog training, and wildlife habitat management and restoration. This year the fest is held in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on February 16th-18th. Wyatt Fornstrom is the Pine Bluffs Pheasants Forever youth president and has many duties at the fest.

"I am apart of the National Youth Leadership Council, so my job is to run the youth village and all the booths there," said Fornstrom.

There are many different seminars at Pheasant Fest to help the public learn. For instance there will be seminars on how to properly train your dog for bird hunting, different ways of cooking game animals to get the best flavor out of your meat. Another example is learning about the landscape of different habitats throughout America.

The youth chapter of Pheasants Forever is very important. All of the conservation efforts made today hold little value without preparing newcomers to stand for wildlife habitat. The youth chapters are our conservation leaders of tomorrow. If you have further questions or would like to participate to help the conservation cause, please visit
