Second meet tough for Broncs

 


BAYARD, Neb. — Strong efforts weren’t enough for the Burns Broncs at the Bayard, Neb. Track and Field Invite last Thursday.

The Broncs finished 14th out of 17 teams with 9 points.

One shining point of the meet was the 4X800-meter relay team’s first-place finish.

Consisting of Daniel Childeres, Kaden Lakin, Jack Ickes and Wyatt Ebben the team came in with a time of 8:58.90.

The 4X100-meter relay team which included Boe Clayson, Alex Pyle, Daniel Childers and Tyler Norris came in fifth with a time of 49.11.

A similar 4X400-meter relay team of Kaden Lakin, Ickes, Childers and Clayson took sixth.

In the individual 800-meter run, Ebben took home fifth-place honors.

Alex Pyle was seventh in the 200-meter dash.

Tyler Norris jumped 19’06”.05 to earn a fourth-place finish in the long jump

Wade Pollock just missed out on points in the discuss throw at 111’.

The Broncs will travel to Mitchell, Neb. Thursday.
