Jourdaine Cerenil competes in the long jump at the Mitchell, Neb. Track and Field Invite last Thursday. Cerenil earned first-place in the triple jump, second in the high jump and third in the long jump.
MITCHELL, Neb. - Jourdaine Cerenil had quite the meet in Mitchell last Thursday.
She outright won the long jump by one inch at 32' 8.25". Then, she earned second-place marks in the high jump with a leap of 4' 10".
Even after that, she wasn't done earning points for the Lady Hornets. In her final event of the day, Cerenil jumped 14' 6.75" to take home third place in the long jump.
Last year as a freshman, Cerenil saw that she had potential in her event. This year, she's beginning to blossom, said head coach Dustin Lee.
