According to Pine Bluffs Post Archives, the building that now houses Farmers State Bank was constructed in 1925 as Carlstrum's Dry Good store. However, in 1957 the owners liquidated the business's stock and Farmers State Bank, which was established in 1915, began moving in - but not without extensive renovations first.
